Greater San Jose and Santa Clara County Cities Street Map Book
Published in Paperback by GM Johnson and Associates, Ltd. (December, 1999)
Author: GM Johnson & Associates Ltd
Average review score:

Way, way better than the Thomas Bros. Guide
The only sad thing about this atlas (or actually about all atlases of the GM Johnson) is that for some reason they are not available in the bookstores in the Silicon Valley.

I got my 1995 edition on a discount desk at Costco Mart and I liked it immediately. The colors are excellent, the size of the font and of the drawings are appropriate for reading contrary to the tiny, barely readable maps presented by the seemingly "only choice" on the shelf, the Thomas Bros Atlases. Especially I like the way in which the streets are being printed by GM Johnson using two dark borders and a white interior. Very good visible, serves well while driving. I retired my Thomas Guide immediately and forever. One weeknes which I see is a lack of a good indication when a particular page does not have a follow up to the left, right, up or down.

Sadly, I never again found a newer edition of this book till I made some serious steps to find out if the company is still publishing maps. The phone numbers in my 1995 edition are all outdated. Finally as I contacted the Etak. Inc. (the maker of the digital map used in this atlas) I got a friendly hint from them to lookup the web for GM Johnson products. Well, it is indeed so easy now to find books, why haven't I looked a bit earlier at Amazon for the newer edition?

Greater Seattle Street Map Book
Published in Map by GM Johnson and Associates, Ltd. (01 October, 2002)
Author: GM Johnson & Associates Ltd
Average review score:

4th Edition
The best set of 8.5x11" maps I've found for the Seattle area.
The 42 maps are clear and easy to read. They cover from
Lynnwood to Kent, and West Point to Sammish/Issaquah. I've
been using a five year old version and really wanted an
updated version.

It doesn't cover anything on the otherside of ferries. It
would be better if it also went upto Everett.

WOW! This is a great book!
This book is incredible. The publishing companies website has comments from current military personnel and even former Senator Bob Dole. It is a captivating story that keeps you on the edge of your cushion. I noticed that there are three more books from this publishing company coming out too! I can't wait to read them!

Gregg College Keyboarding & Document Processing for Windows: Lessons 1-60 for Use With MS Word 97
Published in Paperback by McGraw Hill Text (June, 1999)
Authors: Scot Ober, Robert N. Hanson, Jack E. Johnson, Arlene Rice, Robert P. Poland, Albert D. Rossetti, and McGraw-Hill

A True Value
I am a student at a local business school. I began using Gregg College Keyboarding & Document Processing, Lessons 1-60, in mid February, 2001. It has really changed the way that I type, and has given me a chance to learn the proper way to process documents. Initially, I thought the book to be kind of boring, since I already had a basic knowledge of the keyboard. However, as time progressed and I got further into the book, I learned how wrong I was. I always though document processing to be self-expanantory, but learning the correct manner of formatting letters, reports, memos, tables, cover pages, resumes, etc., and the improvement of my spelling, grammar, and punctuation have changed my outlook on finding future employment. I am very grateful to the writer's of this book for putting together such a wonderful program. Thank you!

Excellent, thought-provoking, entertaining
I love this book and I'm 40 years old. I first read it as a youth, but reread it now and then because of the clarity of writing and thoughts expressed. Any boy or girl will enjoy it, too.

Group Therapy: The Springfield Series Freshman Year
Published in Paperback by Writers Club Press (December, 2002)
Author: Ryan M. Johnson
Average review score:

Outstanding Novel!
After reading Days Gone By last year, I was intrigued by the story of these young students. Ryan Johnson seemed to capture the essence of college, without forcing too many details down our throats, allowing us to see things the way that we wanted to. With Group Therapy, Ryan has not only revisted the earlier material (and improved upon it's quality without destroying the story), but he has taken us deeper into Springfield University. An outstanding read from cover to cover. Pick this up and enjoy a nostalgic and accurate picture of the college experience.

Grow Wild!: Low-Maintenance, Sure-Success, Distinctive Gardening With Native Plants
Published in Hardcover by Fulcrum Pub (June, 2003)
Authors: Lorraine Johnson and Andrew Leyerle
Average review score:

extremely helpful, especially for the Midwest US and Canada
Ms. Johnson writes from a Canadian background. The plants and gardens are very adapted to the Midwest, and most could easily be duplicated there. Other areas are represented, but gardeners in the Midwest would benefit the most from using this book. The photos show actual, easily achieveable, garden results. This book might help someone make up their mind whether this is "the look" they will
like in their garden. I hope many people decide they like it, because it is a low-maintenance, environmentally-friendly, water-conserving approach to having the most envied garden on the block!
